Film Ready

The City of Chaska welcomes filmmakers and production teams interested in capturing the distinctive charm of our community. To ensure a smooth and safe filming experience for both production crews and the public, a filming permit is required for all projects taking place within the city limits and/or involving city services.

Permit applications must be submitted no less than five (5) working days prior to the scheduled production. While there is no fee for the permit itself, applicants are responsible for any costs incurred by the City of Chaska for requested services such as police support, street closures, or use of city equipment. Filmmakers must also provide a certificate of insurance naming the City of Chaska as an additional insured. By following these guidelines and providing detailed information about your shoot, you help us coordinate effectively and ensure a positive experience for both your production team and the community.
