Approved Letter of Intent with the Community Asset Foundation for Funding the Inn
The City Council approved a letter of intent to contribute $394,000 from the City’s affordable housing funds toward The Inn, a four unit affordable housing project for young mothers experiencing housing insecurity, developed through a partnership between Community Asset Foundation and Beyond New Beginnings.
Final funding commitments will be brought forward to the City Council for review and approval at a future date.
This project aligns with the City’s Strategic Planning goal of expanding and supporting affordable housing opportunities, helping to make Chaska a hometown for all.
Awarded Contracts for the Chaska Municipal Services Building
The City Council has approved the awarding of contracts for the new Municipal Services Building.
The facility will house Public Works, Water and Sewer, and the Electric Department, marking the second project in the City’s Building Improvement Program.
Although initial bids came in above estimates, staff identified cost-saving measures and additional funding to keep the project moving forward without impacting other planned facilities.
Construction is expected to begin in spring 2026, with substantial completion anticipated in fall 2027.
