The Lower Minnesota River Watershed District (LMRWD) has started a project to stabilize stream banks on East Chaska Creek from Crosstown Blvd to the pedestrian bridge near Fire Ln. The work is scheduled to start Tuesday, January 26 and should be finished in a week, weather permitting.
This segment of East Chaska Creek has erosion issues that were identified in a 2012 study. Work will stay in the section of creek that is owned by the City of Chaska.
The LMRWD received grant funding for this project, so there will be no cost to the City.
